Inspector

Registered Home Inspectors - CAHPI Alberta (www.cahpi-alberta.com)

Who is CAHPI?

Home inspection began as a consumer service in the 1970's. To meet & regulate this need, the Canadian Association of Home Inspectors (CAHI) was formed in 1982 as a Canadian Arm of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI). In 1994, several provincial / regional organizations formed CAHI National and in September of 2002, the name changed to the Canadian Association of Home & Property Inspectors (CAHPI)

What is an RHI?

In Alberta, the desination of Registered Home Inspector, or RHI, is granted to individuals who have completed the CAHPI (Alberta) extensive education and ongoing educational requirements.

Why Hire A Registered Home Inspector?

  • Peace of Mind and more protection for you. You can be assured when you obtain the service of an RHI member, you are hiring a competent professional with proven ability, experience and impartiality.
  • An RHI's role is principally educational: to provide you with a better understanding of the home you are considering purchasing or selling.
  • Putting our customers in touch with a qualified RHI reinforces our relationship with them. They feel more confident with the condition of the property, and the quality of our advice.
  • All RHI's follow the Standards of Practice as set out by CAHPI (http://www.cahpi-alberta.com/#InspectionsStandards)
  • An RHI Inspector gives you the information needed to make an informed decision.
  • An RHI inspection is an objective, visual examination of the condition of the home and is not to be mistaken as a guarantee or insurance policy on the house.
